BLOG OF The star tortoise

The star tortoise of Madagascar has a very bulging dark carapace, composed of five vertebral plates, four coastal plates on both sides of the flanks, and marginal plates decorated with clear bands forming sun rays. The plastron provided with a gular spur is concave in the male. The distance between the anal and gular plates is more important in the male, as well as its tail is thicker.
